Sponsored Programs Research and Grants at the College at Oneonta are administered through the Research Foundation of SUNY. The Research Foundation operation at Oneonta is handled at the pre-award stage by the Grants Development Office, and at the post-award stage by the Sponsored Programs Office. The offices provide this support in accordance with federal, sponsor, Research Foundation, SUNY and campus guidelines.

Sponsored programs functions delegated to the campus are conducted under the supervision of the Research Foundation Operations Manager, who is appointed by the Foundation's Board on the recommendation of the campus president.

The Grants Development Office assists the faculty and staff of the SUNY College at Oneonta to conceptualize, plan, draft and submit proposals for grants and other sources of funding.

The Sponsored Programs Administration Office assists the faculty and staff of SUNY College at Oneonta to administer awarded grants and sponsored program contracts by processing the Purchasing, Payroll and Reporting functions for all funds awarded.

The Sponsored Programs Human Resources Department is entrusted with the overall responsibility for the employee services of all Research Foundation employees on the College at Oneonta Campus including compensation, benefits, payroll and employee relations services.
