Many students receive college credit while in high school. These credits can come from Advance Placement, IB. CLEP, or college courses.
~ College Transcript: Request an official transcript from any college at which you have taken or attempted to take courses, and have it sent directly to the Office of Admissions.
~ Advanced Placement (AP) Test Scores: Have your AP test scores sent. Scores must be submitted directly from College Board to the Office of Admissions. To find out what scores you need on your AP exams you can check out our AP equivalency site. To request scores contact College Board.
~ Please submit information on IB and CLEP exams for evaluation if applicable.
Financial Aid counselors can help you explore all of your financing options, including eligibility for federal and state financial aid programs, campus aid, payment plans, part-time jobs and other financing alternatives.
1. Submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FASFA). Applications can be submitted anytime after January 1, 2009. Oneonta’s school code is 002847.
2. For NYS residents, a TAP application will be sent to you after your FASFA has been processed. Oneonta’s TAP code is 0930.
3. Respond promptly to inquires from our Financial Aid Office.
All new students are required to attend an orientation session before they begin attending classes. For students planning to start Spring 2010, we offer sessions right before classes begin in January. Students will receive informatin regarding Orientation through the mail.

Students who have paid their housing deposit will be mailed a packet from Residential Community Life with instructions on how to complete the on-line application. Housing assignments are made according to deposit date. Housing is guaranteed for four years for incoming Freshmen. Housing is not guaranteed for Transfers. The earlier you pay your deposit, the better chance you have of receiving your preferred living accommodations. Check out where you could be living.
You will be mailed a health report form, which must be completed and returned to the Health and Wellness Center. You can also download this form; all forms need to be submitted.
If you wish to decline your acceptance, or defer your application, please contact the Admissions Office for instruction.
Refund of Deposit:
You must submit a request in writing to the Admissions Office prior to the required deadline date.
Tuition deposit is refundable up to January 2, 2010 (or 30 days from acceptance letter date, whichever is later).
Housing deposit is only refundable prior to January 2, 2010, regardless of acceptance date.
