The secretary will give you a simple form to fill out and a "Welcome Pamphlet".
Your counselor will greet you and escort you to his or her office.
What you talk about the first time will depend on you and where you want to start. Your counselor may ask a few questions to understand your concerns and to get to know you a little better. You can ask questions too.
Counselors understand that it may be uncomfortable talking about yourself at first.
Your contact with the counseling center will be confidential. This means that no information is shared with parents, faculty, or friends without your permission.
