Who is eligible for admission to EOP?

To qualify for admission to the College at Oneonta’s Educational Opportunity Program (EOP), a student must be a New York State resident and possess a high school diploma or GED. The student must also meet the academic and financial eligibility requirements for the program. To begin consideration, be sure to check “yes” for the EOP option (question #31 on paper application/question #3 on web application) on the SUNY admissions application. As an EOP applicant, your application fee is waived.

To be academically eligible, a student must be ineligible for admission under the general admissions guidelines at the College at Oneonta. The EOP admissions committee will review each applicant’s academic performance, limitations in preparation for college, and demonstrated potential for earning a college degree.

Financial eligibility starts with the family income guidelines established by the State of New York (table below).
