- The College at Oneonta is a community of faculty, students, and staff whose
mission is to foster the individual student's intellectual, personal,
cultural, and ethical development. To maintain this
community it is necessary to state expectations for all students
which promote the values that the College has stated and that
have been affirmed in the College's Mission Statement.

- The purpose of the Student Code of Conduct is to state the College's expectations,
and to provide an explanation of the process involved for responding
to allegations of student misconduct, on or off campus, as well
as outlining what actions the College may take in dealing with
violations detailed in this Code of Conduct.
A student attending the College at Oneonta agrees to be governed
by this Student Code, as well as other College policies.

- The Office of Judicial
Affairs was established to serve as an advocate for students.
When allegations of misconduct are reported, this office and administrators
in the Office of Residential and Community Life determine whether
or not a violation of the Code has occurred.
