SUNY ONEONTA EMPLOYEE TO COMPLETE DEGREE AFTER 21 YEARS

ONEONTA, N.Y. -- Mark English, Manager of Technology Services in the SUNY Oneonta Office of Academic Information Technology Services, will be one of the candidates for a bachelor's degree at Sunday's December Candidate Recognition Ceremony at SUNY Oneonta. English expects to complete his degree in Mass Communication with a concentration in Production, having begun to work on it part-time in 1987 shortly after he joined the College staff.

English holds a technician's degree from the DeVry Institute of Technology in Phoenix, Arizona. He worked as a technician with a number of businesses before he was hired at SUNY Oneonta in 1986. At the College, he is responsible for installing and maintaining classroom technology and electronics.
