ONEONTA, N.Y. -- The SUNY College at Oneonta Circle of Omicron Delta Kappa (ODK) will induct 19 new student members, one administrator, and one honoris causa member on Sunday, April 26, in ceremony at 1 p.m. in the Craven Lounge of Morris Conference Center. ODK President Dennis Dorf will conduct the initiation of the Spring 2009 class.
SUNY Oneonta President Nancy Kleniewski will be the honoris causa inductee, and Susan S. Clemons, Director of Student Accounts, will be the administrative inductee.
Omicron Delta Kappa, the National Leadership Honor Society, recognizes and encourages superior scholarship, leadership, and exemplary character. Membership in ODK is a mark of highest distinction and honor. ODK also recognizes faculty, administrators, and other individuals who have achieved distinction in their chosen profession.
The SUNY College at Oneonta, which enrolls over 5,800 students, is a liberal arts college with a pre-professional focus. Established as a state normal school in 1889 and incorporated as a founding member of the state university system in 1948, the College is well known for its outstanding faculty, strong academic programs, educational technology, community service and character-building activities, and scenic campus.
