ONEONTA, N.Y. -- As an installment of the fall semester’s Red Dragon Reading Series at the SUNY College at Oneonta, local author Ginnah Howard will present a reading from her recent novel Night Navigation at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, November 18, in the Craven Lounge of the Morris Conference Center. The reading will be followed by a reception and book signing. Admission to the event is complimentary, and members of the community are invited to attend.
Ginnah Howard’s novel Night Navigation was released by Houghton Mifflin Harcourt earlier this year. Her work has also appeared in Water~Stone Review, Portland Review, Permafrost, Phoebe, Ballyhoo, and elsewhere. Several of her stories have been nominated for a Pushcart Prize.
Night Navigation is set in upstate New York. It opens on an icy night when a mother agrees to make the long drive north to pick up her son near the Canadian border, where he is battling his heroin addiction.
