ONEONTA, N.Y. -- As an installment of the Red Dragon Reading Series at the SUNY College at Oneonta, poet Michael Burkard will present a reading from his poetry on Tuesday, October 28, at 7:30 p.m. in the Little Theater in Alumni Hall. Admission to the event is complimentary, and members of the community are invited to attend.
Michael Burkard, who teaches in the Creative Writing program at Syracuse University, is the author of ten collections of poetry, including Unsleeping, Pennsylvania Collection Agency, Entire Dilemma, and his most recent collection, Envelope of the Night. His honors include the Whiting Writer's Award, the Alice Fay di Catagnola Award from the Poetry Society of America, and grants from the New York Foundation for the Arts and the National Endowment for the Arts.
