JACKDAW Primary Source Documents

JACKDAWs are collections of primary source materials. They can be used in a variety of settings, but are most commonly used in social studies to help with document based questions (DBQs). JACKDAWs are identifiable in varoius ways:

  • The JACKDAW company logo in the upper right hand corner.
  • Usually a red string wrapping the contents of an envelope with a decoration of the contents on it.

In order to locate JACKDAWs, use the Library Catalog. Type jackdaw on one line and choose Series as the drop down entry for that line. If you wish to search for a specific jackdaw, try adding your own keyword to the second line. For a list of all JACKDAWs, click here.
