Chronicle of Philanthropy: A biweekly newspaper for charity leaders, fund raisers, grant makers, and nonprofit organizations contains many links to Internet resources.
Foundations Online: A Directory of Charitable Grantmakers: "Browse the foundation directory, pick a listed foundation, search any foundation's information page or search any foundation's home page. Foundation home pages may contain downloadable information such as grant applications, periodical and financial reports, and e-mail capabilities.
Fundsnet: Provides "Nonprofit Organizations, Colleges and Universities with information on financial resources available on the Internet."
The Grantsmanship Center: Contains links to grantmaking foundations, the daily grant announcements from the Federal Register, and the daily contract solicitations from Commerce Business Daily.
GrantsWeb (Society of Research Administrators): Contains extensive links to U.S., U.K., and Canadian government and private resources and publications.

Catalog of Federal Domestic Assistance: The Catalog of Federal Domestic Assistance lists and describes over 1,000 federal domestic assistance programs (grants, loans, fellowships, loan guarantees, insurance) administered by federal agencies. Searchable by keyword or subject.
ED.gov: U.S. Department of Education. This site gives information on how to find and apply for government grants.
Federal Government Resources: Grants, Contracts, and Auctions: Extensive, annotated list of government resources compiled by the University of Michigan.

Grants.gov: Allows organizations to electronically find and apply for competitive grant opportunities from all Federal grant-making agencies. Grants.gov is THE single access point for over 900 grant programs offered by the 26 Federal grant-making agencies.

Information about Grants from New York State Government: Contains links to arts, education, vocational, and science and technology grants administered by N.Y.S. agencies and to procurement information from the N.Y.S. Department of Social Services.

Art Deadlines List: "A monthly e-newsletter with over 600 announcements listing art contests & competitions, art scholarships & grants, juried exhibitions, and art shows."
National Endowment for the Humanities: "An independent grant-making agency of the United States government dedicated to supporting research, education, preservation, and public programs in the humanities."
New York State Foundation of the Arts NYFA: A comprehensive list of opportunities for "individual artists in the visual, media, performing and literary arts."

Federal Grant Resources (Small Business Administration): SBA offers grants that "are generally designed to expand and enhance organizations that provide small business management, technical, or financial assistance. These grants generally support non-profit organizations, intermediary lending institutions, and state and local governments."

Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs: Site from the U. S. State Department which administers the U.S. governments cultural and educational exchange programs, including the Fulbright Program.
U.S. Department of Education: Check out Financial Aid for information on student financial aid, grants, and loans, including FAFSA forms and instructions. Contains copies of the department's grants announcements and application notices published in the Federal Register.

Robert Wood Johnson Foundation: A large "philanthropy devoted exclusively to improving the health and health care of all Americans" which provides grants to "support training, education, research (excluding biomedical research), and projects that demonstrate the effective delivery of health care services."

LBQT Funders Directory: "Provides information on funders of organizations and projects working with lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer (LGBTQ) communities. All of the groups included in the directory have provided financial support, of varying types, to LGBTQ programs."
National Historical Publications and Records Commission (NHPRC): The grant-making affiliate of the National Archives and Records Administration, "the NHPRC promotes the preservation and use of America's documentary." Works to preserve and publish "the primary sources of the American story in its many forms."
