Meet Bibliographic Services
- Anne McFarland - Head, Bibliographic and Digital Services (Senior Assistant Librarian):
- I work with the Bibliographic Services staff to ensure materials are delivered to patrons in a timely and accurate manner. I oversee acquisitions, cataloging, periodicals, serials, processing and describing archival collections. I work with staff on conservation and preservation issues related to the collection and building.
- Jim Coan - Associate Librarian:
- I catalog new library acquisitions of books, media, CD ROMs, and musical compact discs, including serials and reference materials
- Elaine Downing - (retired as of June 29, 2006; currently part-time through 2006) Acquisitions Librarian:
- Andrea Gerberg - Associate Librarian:
- I supervise the serials and bindery operations.
- Heather Heyduk - Senior Assistant Librarian:
- I catalog a variety of new materials and serve as the library's archivist. As Acquisitions Librarian, I manage the materials budget by ordering those books and other materials recommended by faculty, librarians and staff for use by the entire college community and the greater Oneonta area. I also serve as head of the Special Collections Committee and help provide reference service related to the archival collection.
- Dawn Gage - Library Clerk III:
- I am the Support Staff Supervisor for Bibliographic Services. I oversee the workflow of the technical operations from materials processing to cataloging. I keep the library statistics for how many items are ordered and processed during the year.
- Lois Baldwin - Instructional Support Associate:
- I serve as assistant to the Acquisitions Librarian, overseeing placement of orders and their receipt, and gift and exchange. I also do book repair.
- Rinda Brown - Library Clerk II:
- I order new periodical subscriptions, renew older subscriptions, make vendor contacts to resolve periodical problems, and update the online catalog.
- Donna Leonard - Library Clerk II:
- I input copy and original cataloging for books, audio/video, and serials.
- Debra McHenry - Library Clerk II:
- I check-in and process Central Serials materials: these are monographic serials that the library receives on a regular basis.
- Lucille Weisenburger - Library Clerk II:
- I maintain the federal and New York State depository collection.
- Jennifer Gaston - Keyboard Specialist I:
- I assist with the acquisitions process, creating receiving orders.
- Patricia Murphy - Keyboard Specialist I:
- I check in new periodicals and do stack maintenance in the periodicals area.
