Bulletin for July 26, 2006

VOLUNTEERS FOR FLOOD CLEANUP STILL NEEDED
Many faculty, staff, AmeriCorps members and students have been diligently volunteering their time for the flood victims. Our college community has really stepped up to the plate to help those in need. However, there is still so much more work to be done. CSRC has been organizing workdays in Sidney and surrounding areas. If you would like to volunteer on a Saturday or during a weekday, please contact Linda Drake at x2633.

HEATING COILS SCHEDULED FOR CLEANING IN NETZER
The Maintenance Department HV/AC workers will be in Netzer Administration during the first week of the month, July 31 - August 4 for cleaning and maintaining the heating coils in all of the offices. This will result in some dust and will involve the use of a coil spray which is environmentally safe although some people may be chemically sensitive to it. Please feel free to phone the Maintenance Department at x2507 if you have any questions.

COLLEGE CAMP CLOSED
The College Camp property is temporarily closed due to damage from recent floods. Eastman Associated has been contracted to repair damage to the camp access road, however it is difficult to judge the timeframe for completion. Reservations have been cancelled through August 20, 2006. For future updates on the College Camp status, do not hesitate to contact us at x3157 or http://collegecamp.oneonta.edu. Another Bulletin announcement will appear when the camp is scheduled to reopen.

Employees who do not have access to departmental shredders can use the shredder that is located in the Print Shop, in the basement of the Administration Building. Questions regarding employee information should be referred to the Office of Human Resources at x2509.

ADDING NEW EQUIPMENT TO EQUIPMENT INVENTORY
In most instances Property Management is routinely notified of new equipment purchases so that items costing $1,500 or more can be added to the College’s equipment inventory. Occasionally, however, a piece of equipment that should be added to the inventory does not come to the attention of the Property Management department. If you have received equipment that cost $1,500 or more, and it has not been tagged within 30 days, please contact Janet Frankl, Milne Library, Room B217, at x3227 (or email: frankljl@oneonta.edu). Your assistance will be appreciated!

A REMINDER REGARDING THE USE OF CAMPUS INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY
Consistent with longstanding State policy, all State equipment and resources, are the property of the State and may not be used for non-governmental purposes. College-owned computer equipment and campus access to the World Wide Web should be used in a manner consistent with the Policy for use of Campus Information Technology. The full text of this Policy is available at: http://www.oneonta.edu/general/policies/TechUsePolicy.asp.
