LETTER FROM STUDENT ASSOCIATION
Dear Faculty and Staff,

The Student Association Executive Council would like to welcome you back for the 2008-2009 academic year. As professors and members of the college community everything that you do is to help students, and as students at Oneonta we appreciate that immensely. Whether you are staying later then your office hours to assist a student, advising a club, or having a conversation with a group of students which facilitates critical thinking; you are helping students grow and enjoy their college experience. It has been said to all of us numerous times that the reason students enjoy the College at Oneonta is because of the dedication of staff and the campus climate. Without having faculty and staff who care about students as individuals, we would not have the campus we currently have. We would also like to let you know the Student Association is here for you. If you ever have a student who needs guidance on how to get involved, a committee that needs student representation or an issue you feel students should be abreast of, please feel free to contact us. The Student Association’s purpose on campus is to aid and represent students. If you ever have any questions feel free to phone us at x2440, email us at SA@oneonta.edu, or stop by our office located at Hunt Union on the Garden Level.

Thank you,
Student Association Executive Council

CARD ACCESS AT ALUMNI FIELD HOUSE
Beginning immediately, the Alumni Field House will be a card access only building. Card access will especially affect admittance to the fitness center when the building is open for general use by the campus community. You will no longer be able to gain access to the fitness center unless you have your ID card and it has been validated for entry into the fitness center. Your card will be used for the fitness center in the same way it is used to enter residence halls and other card access buildings on campus. In order for faculty, staff and students to use the fitness center, your ID card will have to be activated by the college after successfully completing an online orientation program for the fitness center.
