SUNY College at Oneonta hosts several summer programs for various interests and ages of youth. We host programs in sports, science, and music. Some of our programs are run by our own faculty, coaches and students, and some of the programs are run by outside private groups.
We support a strong safety program, and welcome youth to campus to get a sample of the exciting activities taking place at our college. 6th Annual Red Dragon Basketball Camp for boys and girls ages 6-17 to be held in the Alumni Field House. Each camper will receive a camp basketball and t-shirt. For more information and a brochure please contact:

Oneonta State Women’s Basketball CampOneonta State Women’s Basketball will host a girl’s developmental overnight/commuter camp. Camp counselors will include the present team members. The camp is designed to develop basic fundamentals of the game. Daily activities include: one on one and three on three instruction; fundamental stations; and games. The camp will be held Sunday – Thursday, July 19-23, for girls ages 10-18. Camp begins Sunday evening at 6pm and ends Thursday afternoon at 4pm. Groups of 5 or more from the same school may deduct $10 from the full price of the camp; provided all team members register together.
Early Application Deadline: A $35 non-refundable deposit is required with this application. You may deduct $10 if you application and full payment are received on or before June 15, 2009.
All registrations received after July 5, 2009; require payment in full at time of registration.

Cooperstown Baseball World - CBWWeek-long National tournament baseball tournament hosting teams both from around the country as well as abroad. Open to participants 11-15 yrs. old, who come as a team. Each week a new group arrives for their tournament.

Family, Career and Community Leaders of America - FCCLAFamily, Career and Community Leaders of America, Inc. (FCCLA) is a nonprofit national Career and Technical Student Organization for middle and high school students in Family and Consumer Sciences Education in public and private schools. The summer FCCLA leadership training and FCS professional development is sponsored by the Human Ecology Department and is available for New York State members, advisors and FCS teachers.
Gold Medal WrestlingKen Chertow's Gold Medal Wrestling is the nations largest wrestling camp system and offers technique and training camps for wrestlers of all ages and skill levels. Headwaters Soccer ClubThe Headwaters Soccer Club is non-profit service organization that operates seven consecutive day camps, with one being on the campus of SUNY Oneonta. The camp runs daily from 9:30 a.m.-4:00 p.m. Monday-Friday for boys and girls ages 7-17.

Munchkin All-Sport CampThis summer the Oneonta State women's soccer team will present the Annual Eastman Associates Munchkin All-Sport Camp. The Camp has blossomed into a local retreat for children to grow socially and recreate. Children will be exposed to game and skill instruction in a variety of activities to include: soccer, tennis, racquetball, track & field, kickball, basketball, badminton, volleyball and T-ball.
The camp will be held at Oneonta State College from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm daily for boys and girls 5-12 years old.

New York State Music Festival - NYSMFThe New York Summer Music Festival ( www.nysmf.org) is proud to return for its fourth successful year at SUNY Oneonta. NYSMF is an advanced-level music camp for young musicians ages 10-25. Over 400 students from around the world meet daily in NYSMF's more than 50 daily ensembles & classes, and perform up to 40 outstanding concerts during the six-week season.
Divided into three sessions of two weeks each, NYSMF offers intense musical training with programs in classical, jazz, chamber music, composition, writing & acting, and many more. Faculty is drawn from the world's top musical institutions, including the Curtis Institute of Music, the Juilliard School, the Manhattan School of Music, and the New York Pops Orchestra. NYSMF's excellent Visiting Artist Program brings internationally acclaimed musicians all the way to Oneonta from the Philadelphia Orchestra, the New York Philharmonic, the Vienna Philharmonic, and more, and includes several musicians who performed live for this year's 2009 Presidential Inauguration.
All NYSMF performances are free and open to the public. This includes all student concerts as well as every Visiting Artist and NYSMF Faculty Recital. Most concerts are held in Goodrich Theatre in the Fine Arts Building, with other performances at the Hunt Union, the Outdoor Amphitheatre, and other spaces throughout the SUNY Oneonta campus. Sponsored by the New York State Migrant Youth Program through the State Education Department and the SUNY Research Foundation. The Summer Leadership Conference is a one week program held on campus for high school students from migrant farmworker families. Students stay at Morris Conference Center where they attend classes and seminars. They go on educational and recreational field trips and learn about careers, college, and financial aid.

Oneonta State Women's Volleyball CampOneonta State Volleyball will host a girls' general skills overnight/commuter camp. Camp counselors are the Oneonta State Women's Volleyball team. Designed to develop and fine tune the correct fundamentals of setting, passing, serving, hitting, and defensive play. Through competitive games and exercises, along with one-on-one instruction from the counselors, we hope that each camper will walk away instilled with a new love for the game.
Ages: 6th grade - 12th grades, ages 10 - 18
24-hour adult supervision provided by the Oneonta State Women's Volleyball team, as well as an on-site certified athletic trainer, and 24-hour campus security.
Resident cost $390.00
